Scar Page General
The grain side of the leather is the hair side. It has a smooth, grained surface. Different types of leather have characteristic grain patterns that vary in pore size and surface texture.
Grain types
The types of grain are differentiated depending on the coarse or fine surface structure, from coarse to fine-grained.
Processing the scar side
The grain side of the leather can be processed in many ways by dyeing, coating, embossing, etc. to create a different appearance.
Split leather can also be processed using these techniques to create the impression of full-grain leather.
